Day One focuses on building strong technical and creative foundations—setting you up for confident, intentional design throughout the retreat with Hilary and Ashlee from Wildwood

The fundamentals of floral design, including structure, balance, scale, and movement
Professional flower prep and care techniques to maximize longevity and quality
How to work with floral mechanics and create strong, reliable design foundations
Designing centrepieces with intention for a larger, cohesive reception vision
How to prep and plan mechanics for a large-scale ceremony installation

Translating a design vision into a full ceremony installation
Large-scale installation techniques and on-site workflow
Practical floral ordering strategies, sourcing, and planning exercises
