DAY 1 — June 8
Foundations of Floral Design
Floral Designers Only
Led by Hilary, Founder and Lead Designer of Wildwood Floral + Event Design, alongside Lead Studio Designer Ashlee, Day One is dedicated to building the technical and creative foundations behind elevated floral design.
Hosted at Park Hill Studios, this immersive, studio-based day focuses on the behind-the-scenes preparation that supports confident, intentional design throughout the retreat.
Attendees will explore the core principles of floral design — including structure, balance, scale, and movement — while learning professional flower prep and care techniques that maximize longevity and quality. The day also dives into floral mechanics, guiding designers through creating strong, reliable foundations for both reception and ceremony installations.
Through hands-on instruction, floral designers will design centrepieces intended for Day Two’s editorial reception and begin preparing the structural elements required for Day Three’s large-scale ceremony installation. This day is intentionally paced to allow for questions, conversation, and real-time guidance in an intimate learning environment.
